Mapelastic AquaDefense is a light blue one-component paste, ready to use, completely solvent-free, based on synthetic resins in aqueous dispersion, very fast drying. Mapelastic AquaDefense allows easy application using a long-nap roller, brush or trowel on horizontal, inclined and vertical surfaces. After rapid drying, Mapelastic AquaDefense transforms into an elastic, non-sticky coating, resistant to light pedestrian traffic after just 3 hours, which offers an optimal grip surface for adhesives for laying ceramics, stone materials and mosaics of any kind. guy. The elasticity of Mapelastic AquaDefense allows it to withstand the normal expansion and contraction movements of the substrate due to thermal changes and vibrations.
CHARACTERISTICS
- It does not require using a drill or mixer because it comes ready to use;
- Resists rain water after 1 hour from the application of the first layer and 3 hours from the application of the second;
- Allows the placement of ceramic coverings after only 4 hours (the times refer to a temperature of +23° C and a relative air humidity of 50%, with the product applied on dry screeds, with residual humidity less than 3%)
TO IMPORTANT NOTICES
- Do not apply Mapelastic AquaDefense at temperatures below +5° C
- Mapelastic AquaDefense should always be coated with a ceramic, mosaic or stone coating
- Do not apply Mapelastic AquaDefense on cement supports with residual humidity greater than 3% or subject to continuous humidity rise.
- Do not apply Mapelastic AquaDefense on friable cement substrates, on pre-existing pavements with poor adherence to the substrate or with surface treatments that hinder adhesion.
- Do not use Mapelastic AquaDefense to cover cracks
- Protect from rain for at least 1 hour after applying the first layer and 3 hours when the second has been applied (the times refer to a temperature of +23° C and a relative air humidity of 50% with product applied on dry screeds with residual moisture less than 3%)

Mapelastic AquaDefense can be used on:
- Concrete
- Cementitious screeds or screeds based on special binders (Topcem, Topcem Pronto, Mapecem, Mapecem Pronto)
- Plasterboard (indoors only)
- Existing ceramic coverings, hydraulic tiles and stone material
- Cementitious plasters
